You cant beat the price for this but, you defiantly get what you pay for with this. I have been using this Black and Decker Corded Electric Trimmer and Edger for about 3 months now, and it is easy to use and gets the job done. With a 3.5 Amp motor it would work great for a smaller yard and not for heavy duty work. The 12-inch cutting path (with bump-fee spool) helps to get the job done quickly.
When you read the box it says it has a “Cord retention system that helps prevent accidental cord disconnection”, yeah….no. You still have to hold the extension cord or I promise you it will pop out. The flip-down edge guide is not much help with edging along sidewalk or any concrete barrier. The string seems to always break once it hits any cement, and you are having to “bump it” to get more. Before you know it you are replacing the string. Thankfully it is very easy to replace.
With all that being said I do like this trimmer. I like that it is electric, so I do not have to worry about keeping gas in my garage, it does a good job quickly, and you can not beat the price.
