I gave this such a low rating only for the reason I bought it. I got it for the current season of coaching hockey. Due to hockey gloves a hanging whistle just did not work. I could not grab the whistle while my gloves were on. I would not recommend this for any coach or referee that wears gloves while doing their craft.
I think that it would be great for a baseball, football, PE teacher, lifeguard, ect. It blew well and was plenty loud.
