It is so easy to put down a massive amount of vegetables with this juicer!  The juice is delicious and you can get so much juice out of each vegetable or fruit.

We have recently got into juicing vegetables as we have really tried to improve our diets.  I had been using the Jack La’Lane juicer, but I had read that this juicer produces more juice and you get more nutrients out of it.  Our first juicing was very impressive with the amount of juice it gave.  We noticed a significant difference between two juicers.  The Omega by far extracts more juice especially for dry produce like parsely, kale, and cilantro.  Jack La’Lanes hardly gave any juice out of those, but the Omega had a steady stream of juice coming out.

As for the nutrients, I am not able to tell or measure if this is true or not. It seems like it would be logical but I cannot find that out for myself. I have noticed a couple of things that I think confirm that Omega’s juice is better.  First, the juice doesn’t separate as quickly.  The layers seem to blend and stay in place longer than the other juicer.  Second, the juice comes out slow and steady.  The Omega juicer is built to press juice out of the food, not to butcher it into small pieces and the squeeze it through the filter.  The hacking destroys more vitamins and enzymes.  The gentleness of the Omega press keeps as much nutrients as possible.

Assembling the Omega juicer was quite a learning curve.  I had a difficult time understanding how the pieces fit and where to align the different parts.  Luckily, I had a friend who already owned this juicer so I called him for help.  He was able to walk me through it, but I still had a difficult time on the phone.  The instructions were a little vague.  I think they could have done a better job with their diagrams and pictures so that the new user could have an easier time with this.

I love the nutrient rich juice, but I also love the clean up.  The unit separates into 6 pieces.  Each one comes apart easily and is easy to wash.  The food does not stick to them, keeping the unit looking nice and new.  One thing I don’t like is that it can get clogged really easily when juicing fiberous vegetables like chard.  I have had to disassemble the juicer a couple of times to unclog the stringy fibers that are stuck in the pulp chute.  There is a rubber plug at the bottom of the assembly that you must plug in before using.  I have forgotten to plug it in a couple of times and the juice leaks out.  It is important to make sure this stopper is plugged in so you don’t waste juice and that you don’t have an extra mess on your hands.

I love the juice that this machine produces.  It tastes fresh and nutrient rich.  Beside the small problem with clogging, I really enjoy having the Omega juicer.
