Barbie Deluxe Stylin' Head Review

So I thought this would make a great gift for my daughter. She loves to do her hair, nails and make up….what 6 year old doesn’t.

I picked this up for her birthday thinking it would be a huge hit. You get to do her hair, make up and nails. Bonus for the parents….you do it all with water. So no mess, no stains, no worries.

Well when she was very excited when she opened it. This was one of the first things she wanted to play with. Once we opened the box and took the head out, we were a bit grossed out by how crunchy the hair was. I told her lets just brush it out. They had to make it like that for packaging reasons. Well a few minutes of brushing later the crunchy-ness is slightly gone, but so is half the hair.

On to the make-up and nails. I was excited to see that all this could be done with water. No mess no fuss. I wont end up with nail polish all over my floors.  Well, the color changing nails did not work. No matter how cold we made the water they did not change. The make up would appear with freezing ice cold water, but she quickly lost interest in that.

So long story short, even at $30 it is a waste of money.
