I have always been a fan of anything made with tea tree oil, so this body wash from botanical gardens caught my eye. The first thing I noticed was that it’s price point for the volume ($17 for 16oz) is much better than competing brands. It is a thick soap, something I prefer as watery soaps are very hard to lather. After about 2 weeks of use, I could tell it helped clear up my skin a little.
What truly ruined it for me was the smell, as it was not anything close to peppermint or any of my other tea tree oil products. It must have been the sea buckthorn oil I was unfamiliar with, but overall I did not like it. It also did seem to dry out my skin a little after a few uses, something to look out for. It also did not come with a pump like pictured, making it a pain to use. Speaking of its design, it was also not packaged to ship well at all….leaked everywhere in the box. Although it might have just been a one time shipping mistake, it still set a bad impression in my opinion. Overall, if you are aiming to go more towards all natural products, this may be an option for you. However I do feel that there are better versions of natural body washes on the market that hydrate and smell a lot better, so I suggest looking elsewhere.
