We bought this grinder at the same time we bought our Bosch. This was the ideal setup for homemade bread!

We bought this at a local kitchen store.  We have seen many demonstrations on how to use this so we were excited to bring it home with us.

We read the manual a little bit to understand what we could and could not grind.  We found that we could grind just about any grain, but nothing that would be too oily and clog the machine.  Examples of this would be peanuts and flaxseed.  We began, simply with red wheat.  We ground that wheat and then made a traditional recipe with the Bosch.  It turned out so good!  The bread was fluffy and light.  The grinder did a great job making the wheat into very fine pieces.  The machine has a setting where you can set it to fine pieces or more coarse pieces. We usually used the finest setting.

I will admit that the machine is very loud!  I have heard of people taking this to the garage and using it there.  We don’t have to do that but it is unmistakably loud!  I have also heard that the older grinders are even louder and that newer ones like this aren’t as bad.  I’m not sure if this is true or not, but this is definitely our loudest appliance.

I like the white design of it.  It has stayed white as we have used and cleaned it.  In fact, it is in great shape.  The appliance is a little tall so it doesn’t fit under shelves, but I was able to easily store it in the front of my lower cabinet.

The kitchen center was selling this for $269.99.  Not a bad price for a powerful appliance like this.  I think that because we love homemade bread so much, and we make it a lot, it has been worth the price for us.  It would be too expensive if for someone if it sat in a cabinet unused, but that is not our case.
