The Zodiac Leaf Canister  is a great invention if you have a few extra leaves getting into your pool and using a skimmer seems like too much work. It works fully as designed by trapping the leaves along with it not being super intrusive. However, this works good until you have a lot of leaves getting into your pool, then this thing becomes worthless fast. It will fill up fast and then not only will the vacuums cleaner stop sucking but the whole pool slows down so you really have to stay on it. So great for what its intended for but not a set it and forget it solution. Unfortunately there really isn’t one except to cut the trees down that are causing all the leafs. 

Overall I would highly recommend this if you are able to stay on top of emptying the container often. When the container is clean and empty, it works perfect.
