First I have a confession to make… I was petrified when I went in to the baby store to get a swing for our latest addition. There are sooo many different swings to choose from now a days. I just wanted something that went back and forth and would help entertain the wee one while I try to get something done. My head was spinning.

After a near melt down in the store (from me not the baby) the darling husband and I decided to go with the Fisher Price Starlight Cradle ‘n Swing (in Sugar Plum). We picked it because of the reasonable price ($169), adorable colors and that it can go sideways or front and back.

When we got home I was so happy to see how easy it was to set up. My 5 year old pretty much did it on her own.

I was shocked to see that it can be plugged into any standard wall outlet (with the included AC adaptor). LOVE IT! Now we wont be burning thru the D batteries.

Although it does come with a screen it was not a selling point for us. I am sure baby is thankful for it though. The dogs can quite figure out how to get in and lick her. The removable and machine washable seat pad was did help us make the final decision on this swing.

With a weight limit of 25 pound we should be able to use it for a good while that is until baby learns to climb out.

I would defiantly recommend this to anyone with a new little addition to his or her family.
