So far this last baby I had has been my most difficult to feed. I know homemade food is the best thing (and he does like it), but I just do not have the time to shop, chop, cook and puree everyday. I do give him bite size pieces of what we eat, but he just has no interest. I have tired the organic food pouches you find on the grocery store shelf, even dabbled in baby led weaning. I have read all the book, blogs and tips and tricks you can find out there. Nothing seemed to work. He wanted nothing to do with eating food. As he was approaching 9 months I was starting to worry. On a whim I picked up a Once Upon a Farm baby food pouch. You can find these in the refrigerated section of most grocery stores (even Target). They are quite expensive ($2.50-$3 a pouch compared to $1-$1.50 for the ones you find on the self) but I was desperate. He loved/loves these. They are organic, minimally processed, cold pressed (not heat processed) baby and toddler food pouches. They even have smoothie pouches for older kids. They have some…interesting flavor combinations that I would have never thought to put together; like pineapple, banana, avocado and mint. Yeah kinda crazy, but he loves it so I love it.
Both baby and I highly recommend these. (I gave them a 9.5 only because of price.)
