I love how this slows down eating to aid in digestion. If you have a puppy, this is perfect since they love to scarf down their food. It helps reduce over eating since it’s slightly more portioned than a normal bowl, along with the fact they now have to work for their food. The non-slip base helps to keep the bowl in place, but only on smooth surfaces not on a surface with any texture.
My biggest problem with this is that it is very difficult to clean. The description says you can put it in the top rack dishwasher, which you can, but without your other dishes. The dishwasher seems to loosen the feeders shape as well, making some openings bigger and others smaller. I also found that our dog struggled to get the food out of the bottom of some of the crevasse. Other than that, I recommend giving this bowl a try, especially if you have a younger dog.
