Spring break was fast approaching and I wanted a weeklong stay somewhere near the beach and Disneyland Park. This hotel was a the perfect stay!
From the lobby, shuttle rides to Crystal Cove beach ran every hour. The transport had plenty of space for all of our beach gear including towels, food, bags, and chairs. Once dropped off at the beach, it was a short walk to the sand. One special note on this hotel, is that the legendary Crystal Cove Shakeshack is a small walk from the shuttle drop-off point. Famous for their burgers, fries, and shakes, they were a daily stop for me as I knew I would miss it once I would return home. But on the cloudy days, or in the middle of the week when I was ready for a change of pace, Disneyland Park was a short 30 minute drive, making my day to day plans easy and flexible.
This hotel is very clean, the rooms were updated with kitchenettes, plentiful living space for guests to have dinner with me, and generous bathrooms that made my experience there relaxed and welcoming. The employees were friendly, and those who were working on the landscape grounds did a wonderful job keeping the plants and flowers beautiful and free of trash and litter. Check-in was easy and quick and the clerks at the desk were very helpful with directions, parking advice, and questions about the surrounding area.
Parking was available next to my room. If the garage was full, there were several surface lots that were convenient also. My particular room was just accross the bell stand. Although I am not familiar with all the rooms at the hotel, I know this particular location was accessible to all the activities and amenities they offered there, including kids classes, the pool, basketball courts, grass playgrounds, sand pits, and tether ball.
There is something for everyone here! I believe my next California vacation will be booked with the Marriott Newport Coast Villas.
