I have always been a huge fan of the Super Mario Bros. games, ever since I played my first on the Nintendo DS. This continuation of the franchise does not disappoint at all. Somehow, Nintendo manages to take the same storyline and make several games out of it. Princess gets captured, and Mario and his buddies have to go save her. You would think this would get boring after a while, but Nintendo just makes it work. The variety in levels from game to game is amazing, with this possibly having the most interesting new features. The new power-ups and ability to play as new characters with varying difficulty levels keeps the player hooked. The secrets in each level also give the experienced gamers a challenge to get 100% completion with secret levels.

The only negative I can honestly think for this game is it is your standard Mario game, which for some can get repetitive. I however love the traditional platform game style, so I cannot recommend this enough. It appeals to almost every age group, especially since you can change the difficulty so younger players do not get discouraged. If you own a switch, I say give this game a shot if you haven’t already.
