I got this in order to scare off pesky birds from my garden as they always seem to find the seeds I plant. I got this for around $35 on amazon, and for this price this is amazing quality. I don’t see it breaking any time soon and the color is still very vibrant after a few weeks use. However, it seems to only be effective for the first 3-4 days, as the birds seem to catch on that it won’t do any harm. I would say this is a benefit because it provided days of entertainment by watching the birds out smart the plastic owl but it unfortunately makes it a waste of money. The only thing I can see working would be one of these that can move from spot to spot and open its wings up from time to time then you could get more time out of it.

Overall I would invest in one or two of these if you are willing to move them around often. Other than that, I feel that these only work temporarily.
